Minnie Mouse 2nd Birthday party in pink, purple, and teal. Including menu ideas and prep ahead schedule to help your party run smoothly.
Party planning is one of my favorite hobbies. I love coordinating all aspects of a party from the food to outfits and decor. It’s like Interior Design on a smaller scale and quicker timeline. I’d like to preface this post by saying, I in no way think that this magnitude of a party is necessary for an infant/toddler or anyone in general. I genuinely enjoy decorating, cooking, and baking. If those are not your forte there is no shame in a toned down party. I promise your kiddo will have just as much fun.
If party planning is your thing too read on to see how I prepped ahead to pull off this party.

I try to get as much done before the party, especially in the food department so that I can enjoy the day as much as possible.

Decor:
For the Decor, I started with some basics that I reuse for all of the girl’s parties. This white sequin tablecloth and tulle backdrop are reused for every party. The backdrop is mostly made with white tulle and then I add in other colors as needed depending upon my party theme.
Here it is from our previous Frozen Birthday Party:
To make it Minnie Mouse Party Ready all I did was buy 2 rolls of Hot Pink and Purple Tulle and added strips of those colors throughout. (There’s a video on my Instagram Minnie Mouse Birthday highlight). It took me a total of 10 min. Pretty good for party prep!
Here’s the After:
The Rest of the decorations were simple banners from Walmart. (All linked below) I didn’t snap a pic before the party got started but for simple table decor for the guest tables I put striped teal kitchen towels on the center of each table topped with a stack of colorful napkins (because as a mom don’t you feel like you always end up getting up at a party to get more napkins??) then those were held down with white and pink mason jars filled with flowers.
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!
