I’m calling this a mini spring decor tour because you won’t see every inch of my home but you will see lots of inspiration for decorated spaces like sofa pillows, mantle decor, and tablescapes. If you have read my recent Instagram posts you know that I have always been drawn to the idea of blogging but have always been turned off by the perfectionist fake photo shoots and “doing it for the gram.” So I will not be setting up perfect photo shoots that look like magazine editorials. I am just going to live my life and document the highlights (and some lows too I’m sure) for those interested. So behind these images and what is cropped out of each photo is lots of children’s toys, and 2 sleeping labs. The focus of each of these photos are spaces in my home that I decorated because I wanted to, to make our home cheery and bright…and will spring to show up! I hope you enjoy the tour.
Exterior Spring Decor:
If you haven’t noticed lately I’ve been keeping my black and white buffalo plaid items as a constant backdrop which includes this outdoor rug and changing the seasonal pieces around them like this doormat that lays on top of it.
You may have also noticed that our rain boots get a lot of wear this time of year. These navy hunter boots are my favorite for this muddy season and my girls have fun yellow and pink rain boots.
Living Room Spring Decor:
Again with the buffalo plaid! You have probably seen these black and white buffalo plaid pillow covers many times on my blog and Instagram feed. (I’ve used them for Halloween and Christmas). Pairing them with these sweet pink pillows softens the living room and blends well with the pink accents of the mantle.
I use these painted mason jars from our wedding for so many spaces in our home. They’re perfect with these spring green faux hydrangeas and galvanized metal lanterns. Always on repeat here is my vintage window with a faux boxwood wreath and more black and white.
Dining Room Spring Decor:
I have 2 dining tablescape options because I did an early spring table with these yellow birdcages and then a simpler version a few weeks later with these wood candlesticks and fruit bowl.
These fun accent plates were one of my favorite pieces from our Wedding registry and I love anytime I can make use of them.
Version #2 uses fruit for color with these bright green apples and then I kept everything else neutral with these turned wood candlesticks you’ve seen many times (Like in this Thanksgiving Tablescape). and my simple buffalo plaid napkins.
Our little gallery wall in the dining room mimics the yellow and turquoise of version #1 and adds some extra color to version #2.
And that’s a wrap to this simple Spring Decor Tour. Have a wonderful not too muddy spring!
